BANGKOK, 2 September 2010 – Royal Orchid Holidays rolls out ROH Six Journeys and Fun Plus, a series of theme park packages in five countries in Asia in a campaign that runs until 30 September to capture school holiday bookings, but competition is tough from the likes of Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines.
The Thailand market promotion covers Hong Kong Disneyland, Universal Studios Singapore, Seoul Everland, Tokyo Disneyland, Osaka Universal Studio and Kuala Lumpur Sunway Lagoon.

BANGKOK, 30 August 2010 – Tourism Authority of Thailand, Chiang Mai Office, promotes a package to Chiang Mai Zoo Aquarium, Chiang Mai Zoo and Chiang Mai Night Safari plus Royal Park Rajapruek priced at Bt999.
Director of TAT Chiang Mai, Chalermsak Suranan, said the package was mainly geared for domestic travellers to attract more visits to Chiang Mai during the “green season”.
The city’s three zoos co-operated in the venture agreeing on a single entrance fee for all attractions, recruiting hotels and arranging air-conditioned mini-van transfers between sites.

BANGKOK 25 August – Cathay Pacific Airways’ online sales campaign Smart Saver is back featuring selected destinations in Europe and Asia.
However, not all of the promotional fares are up to scratch and on some European routes, the saver fares are especially difficult to secure because flights are heavily booked during the summer months.
Smart Saver to Europe and Smart Saver to Asia, were launched mid-July and are good for travel ex-Bangkok until 30 September. There are discounted fares for both business class and economy classes available to seven cities in Europe and eight in Asia.
Airlines set Haneda fares

BANGKOK, 25 August 2010 – All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines and Thai Airways International have all launched fares for their new Bangkok-Haneda services set to commence 31 October.
All three airlines will operate daily flights to Haneda Airport, while maintaining the same frequency to Tokyo’s Narita Airport.
Once the Japanese government decided to reopen the downtown city airport to international flights airlines have flocked to gain slot times. The airport is vastly more convenient for travellers and is the base for most of Japan’s domestic services.

Garuda packages fare and room

BANGKOK, 11 August 2010 – Garuda Indonesia has slashed Jakarta fares and packages with a complimentary room in a bid to fill aircraft during low season months.
The 4D/3N Free and Easy package costs Bt11,700 inclusive of a return fare in economy class, Suvarnabhumi airport tax, surcharges and three nights’ accommodation at Ibis Hotel Mangga Dua. There is no breakfasts included and passengers have to pay airport tax of around Bt500 when buying the package. The package is available for travel until 30 September.
