BANGKOK, 9 May 2019: Chatrium Hotels and Residences has named Rene Balmer as group general manager based at the group’s head office in Bangkok.
He will work closely with the general managers and department heads in all of the group’s hotels and residences.
In addition, he will be responsible for launching new properties for Chatrium Hotels and Residences as the group expands its presence in Bangkok with three new properties.
The new hotels are Chatrium Hotel Siam Bangkok, Maitria Hotel Rama 9 Bangkok and Maitria Residence Rama 9 Bangkok.
Balmer has worked in Asia for 19 years and started his career in Bangkok as an executive chef at the Landmark Hotel followed by a stint as GM operations at the Lebua Hotels and Resort before moving to Absolute Hotels Services as its vice president.
