Dusit opens all-suite hotel

-

BANGKOK, 9 May  2019: Dusit International has opened the Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri Bangkok, the group’s first all-suite property after taking over the Anantara Baan Rajprasong.

Located in the Baan Rajprasong building in a small lane opposite the Royal Bangkok Sports Club and close to the Ratchadamri BTS station, the rebranded property comprises of 97 single and two-bedroom suites that were up until this month managed and marketed under the Anantara brand.

Rates quoted on Agoda.com start at USD147 a night. Reviews on Booking.com date back to the former management. The property is owned by Minor International and opened for unit sales in 2004. It has a total of around 130 one and two-bedroom units of which around 30 were owned privately and the rest were on offer at daily rates under Anantara management.

Following the closure of the iconic Dusit Thani Bangkok last January, the group has been sourcing alternative accommodation and dining options close by to reach out to its loyal Dusit Thani followers.

In the third quarter, DTC will launch Baan Dusit Thani, a restaurant, bar and coffee shop on Soi Saladaeng, Silom Road, Bangkok that will serve signature dishes from Dusit Thani Bangkok’s most popular outlets.

To celebrate the opening of Dusit Suites Hotel Ratchadamri, Bangkok is offering an exclusive promotion for members of Dusit’s frequent guest programme. The deal offers a 30% discount off suite rates with complimentary breakfast. The promotion is available for bookings through to 14 May, and valid for stays through 31 October 2019.

By early next year, construction will commence on the Dusit Central Park that will stand on the site of the now-closed Dusit Thani Hotel. Demolition crews have moved and they are supposed to raze the famous hotel to the ground by the end of this year. A new mixed-use project will rise in its place to offer residences, an office building, retail areas, and entirely new Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel that should open to the public in 2023
