SINGAPORE, 16 January 2017: Sabre Corporation announced the appointment of Frank Trampert as managing director and chief commercial officer for its hospitality business in Asia Pacific.
In this role, Trampert will lead Sabre’s hospitality business in Asia Pacific, with responsibility for its financial performance, customer engagement and overall growth across the region.
He has a strong background in both hospitality operations and technology in Asia Pacific including leadership positions with Wyndham Hotel Group in Hong Kong, Carlson Hotels across four continents, Brand Karma in Singapore, and most recently as the CEO for Tune Hotel Group in Malaysia. Read more
BANGKOK, 12 January 2017: Diethelm Travel Asia has hired executives for two new positions as it attempts to regain its international reach.
Dietmar Schulz has been named sales manager continental Europe and Stephen Marshall sales director for North America.
Schulz has worked for Qantas Holidays, AOT Group, ATS Pacific and FTI Group, a German tour operator. He will work for Diethlem Travel from his Munich base. Read more
BANGKOK, 12 January 2017: Anantara Vacation Club, a shared ownership service, has promoted Maurizio Bisicky, formerly senior vice president of sales and marketing, to the post of chief commercial officer.
He will overseas sales, services and resort operations teams and develop a Human Resources division.

PHUKET, 6 January 2017: Former top executive of Centara Hotels & Resorts, Chris Bailey, has joined Royal Phuket Marina in the new role of chief executive officer, effective 3 January.
He was a leading member of Centara Hotels & Resorts’ management team for more than 12 years, most recently as its chief operating officer.
During his time with Centara he grew the group’s hotel portfolio from eight properties to more than 70, and will now spearhead the drive to develop Royal Phuket Marina’s hospitality offerings and destination status. Read more
KRABI, SOUTH THAILAND, 14 December 2016: Centara Hotels and Resorts transferred Darren Shaw, former general manager of Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket to Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas Krabi, as its general manager, effective last week.
Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Shaw has more than 19 years of experience working in the hospitality industry.

A Singaporean national, Chung’s career in the hospitality industry started at the former Hyatt Regency Singapore, in sales and marketing.

YANGON, 9 November 2016: Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon has appointed Patcharee Meethong as the hotel’s new director of sales and marketing.
Patcharee is a 20-year hospitality veteran who has worked with various international hotels in Thailand including Shangri-La, Sheraton and Anantara.
