BANGKOK, 17 August 2010 – Thai Hotel Association invites members and non-members to join specialised training courses to improve skills. The courses are scheduled this September
The association offers five new courses including: English writing; using telephone to impress customers; housekeeping training; training a housekeeping chief; personality development, make-up and hairdo training.
All are day-courses except English writing which covers two days. Courses will be held at SC Park Hotel 16 to 17 September while the English writing course starts 21 September.

Thai and Israeli Offices of the Higher Education recently signed a memorandum of understanding for educational programmes and there are plans to encourage more Thai travel agents to sell heritage tours to Israel.
The Thai – Israel Chamber of Commerce recently announced a partnership between the offices of the Higher Education of Thailand and Israel.

BANGKOK, 22 July 2010 – Registering a company in Thailand should be easier now that the Department of Business Development has opened what it calls “One Start, One Stop Service” centres (OSOS) according to the bureau of business registration director, Siam Likitpongsatorn.
He was briefing travel agents, yesterday, at the monthly meeting of the Association of Thai Travel Agents, held at Bai Yoke Sky Hotel in Bangkok.

Royal Orchid Holiday’s has released its latest tour catalogue focusing on golf holidays in Thailand.
Thai Airways International’s in-house tour wholesaler has made this year’s catalogue more user friendly identifying new golf courses and linking them to deals on accommodation and transfers.
Khao Yai’s Kirimaya Golf Resort Spa, is featured for the first time and is relatively new to the golf market. It is situated close to Khao Yai National Par, a UNESCO world heritage site, 150 km northeast of Bangkok off Highway 2.

UBON RATCHATHANI, 20 July 2010 – Tourism Authority of Thailand hosted Japanese media and tour operators on a tour of Ubon Ratchathani to witness the province’s potential in tourism..
According to the National News Bureau, TAT Ubon Ratchathani Office director,Yupa Panrod, said the project was part of an ongoing campaign to present northeast provinces as a viable tourism destination to the Japanese market.
