Vietjet links Danang to regional gateways

SINGAPORE, 7 November 2019: Vietjet will launch two international routes connecting Danang in central Vietnam with Singapore and Hong Kong, effective this December.

The Singapore to Danang route will operate daily effective 20 December with a flight time of two hours and 40 minutes. The flight will depart from Singapore at 1050 and arrive in Danang at 1230.

The return flight will depart Danang at 1220 (local time) and arrive in Singapore at 1550.

Vietjet currently operates daily flights from Singapore to Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City; total four flights daily.

The new Hong Kong to Danang route will commence 12 December with a flying time of one hour and 45 minutes.

The daily flight will depart from Hong Kong at 1720  and arrive in Danang at 1805. On the return sector, the flight will depart from Danang at 1245 and arrive in Hong Kong at 1530. It will give the airline three routes to Hong Kong from Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc and Danang all with daily flights.

Vietjet Vice President Nguyen Thanh Son said,:”The new routes from Danang to Singapore and Hong Kong will strengthen the connection between Vietnam and two major economic and tourism centres in Asia.”

Vietjet will offer more than 2,000 seats on routes from Danang to Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Daegu, Taipei and Tokyo.

A popular tourist destination in central Vietnam, Danang is also the gateway to surrounding tourist destinations such as the World Heritage port town of Hoi An and the former imperial citadel in Hue city, Quang Binh.

Vietjet offered cheap tickets on the new routes pegged at a routine zero-fare plus the cost of tax and fees. Valid for travel December 2019 to 30 June 2020 (excluding public holidays) the fare deal expired just a day after the announcement was made public.
