Hyatt declares Regency really open

-

BANGKOK, 9 January 2019: Hyatt has officially announced the opening of the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit, marking the Hyatt Regency brand’s entry into the capital of Thailand.

However, the hotel has been welcoming guests since mid-November, last year, and has accumulated 22 reviews on TripAdvisor and nine on Expedia, mostly positive except for a few negative comments on construction shortcomings (leaky windows) and poor language skills.

It has already gained the maximum five bubbles from TripAdvisor often viewed by GMs as a justification for their deployment to the top post.

The 273-room hotel is part of a 31-floor, mixed-use development, which includes a condominium and retail shops

Located in the busy tourist strip along Sukhumvit Road, the hotel claims to already have a connecting bridge walkway to the Bangkok Mass Transit System (BTS) Nana Station.

In fact, the overhead connecting walkway will not be completed until mid or late-February and in the meantime guests walk to the BTS station in around three minutes.

The hotel’s general manager Sammy Carolus noted in his responses to reviews logged since last November that the authorities have informed the hotel the sky bridge to the BTS station should be “completed by mid to end of February 2019.”

The best OTA rate for the hotel is set at THB8,808 on TripAdvisor  and around THB7,300 on Expedia with breakfast, Wi-Fi and valet parking included in the rate.

Guests who book stays from now to 31 March enjoy a 20% discount on accommodation with complimentary breakfast when they stay a minimum of two nights. It is based on the best available rate declared on the Hyatt website. We sourced a rate of THB7,400 a night with breakfast. A member rate could be as low as THB6,210 under the 20% off deal.

The offer, applicable for reservations made in advance for stays through to 31 March, is valid only with the use of the promotion code HRBS20 at the time of booking.
