Marriott to badge more Asset properties

HONG KONG 19 November 2019: Marriott International has signed agreements with Asset World Corporation, a Thai real-estate group, to brand three of its properties. Thailand.

The three hotels comprising nearly 1,550 rooms are due to open or be rebranded between late 2020 and 2024.

Under the agreements, AWC will open a 248-room property in Phuket that will be branded  Courtyard by Marriott in late 2020. A 900-room Marriott Marquis hotel and a 398-room JW Marriott hotel will follow in Pattaya in 2024.

The Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town flag will fly on what was previously the 248-room Metropole located in Phuket Town that is undergoing a complete renovation.

JW Marriott The Pattaya Beach Resort & Spa and Pattaya Marriott Marquis Hotel on mixed-use sites in central Pattaya will provide 1,298 rooms between them and have 11 food and beverage outlets.

The developer claims it will replicate the style and features of Bangkok’s famous Asiatique The Riverfront. It complex that includes the two hotels will be ready in late 2023 or early 2024.

“We look forward to building on our long-standing relationship with Asset World Corporation with this landmark multi-agreement signing for three new hotels in Pattaya and Phuket,” added  Marriott International Asia Pacific group president, Craig Smith.

Asset World Corporation is one of the largest owners of Marriott International properties in the Asia Pacific (excluding China) with more than 4,200 rooms across Thailand.
