BANGKOK, 31 October 2019: S Hotels & Resorts Public Company Limited has opened its first resort in the Maldives and promises a major expansion to double its resorts by 2025.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand listed company is the hospitality arm of Singha Estate PCL.
SAii Lagoon Maldives is part of the Crossroads Maldives integrated resort project developed by Singha Estate and S Hotels & Resorts.
The property is located on the Emboodhoo Lagoon with a mix of overwater rooms and pool villas.
SAii Lagoon Maldives also provides direct access to a wide range of facilities, including a PADI-certified Watersports & Dive Centre.
In addition, the resort stands adjacent to the Marina @ Crossroads that features the Crossroads Event Hall, the Maldives Discovery Centre, Marine Discovery Centre, Café del Mar, Hard Rock Cafe, and a variety of dining and shopping options.
Partnered with the Curio Collection by Hilton, SAii Lagoon Maldives reflects how S Hotels & Resorts intends to work with leading hospitality brands.
According to its press statement, S Hotels & Resorts will double its projects from 39 hotels and resorts in five countries with more than 4,600 rooms bu 2025. New projects will be added in Southeast Asia, as well as the Indian Ocean and the South Pacific regions based on what it calls a mix of mergers and acquisitions, resort purchases and hotel management agreements.
