Travel packages to Women’s World Cup 2019

-

NEW YORK, 4 December 2018: A luxury travel agency Protravel International, headquartered in the US, is offering travel packages to the Women’s World Cup in France, billed as one of the most sought-after sporting events of 2019,

The full match schedule for the 2019 Women’s World Cup, scheduled  7 June to 7 July in nine different host cities throughout France, will be published 8 December.

Protravel is already seeing  interest in the event ahead of the announcement for the full match schedule that will be available this coming Saturday, 8 December, following the 2019 Women’s World Cup draw in Paris.

“The surge in popularity of women’s soccer, the momentum from the 2018 Men’s tournament and the recent success of Team USA have resulted in a huge increase in interest in the 2019 tournament,” said Protravel International president Becky Powell.

“When you add in the popularity of France as a travel destination, some experts are predicting that this may break attendance records.”

In recent years, attendance at the Women’s World Cup ranged from more than 26,000 to more than 37,000 per match. With France as the host country, those numbers are expected to spike.

“The 2019 Women’s World Cup packages will offer an opportunity to watch a match in Grenoble, Nice, Montpellier, Lyon, Reims, Paris, Le Havre, Valenciennes or Rennes or a combination of venues,” said Powell.

Packages include prime Women’s World Cup hotels, preferred match day experiences and customized sightseeing.

Twenty-four of the world’s elite soccer nations come together every four years to compete in the historic event. This is the first time France has hosted the tournament, now in its eighth edition, and the third time it has been held in Europe.

Protravel International is a Travel Leaders Group company headquartered in New York City and supports 20 locations throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.
