Musa Yusof named DG Tourism Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 6 December 2018:  Datuk Musa Yusof has been nanmed Tourism Malaysia’s director-general to replace Datuk Seri Mirza Mohammad Taiyab who retired at the weekend.

In a media statement released by Tourism Malaysia, 3 December, the government agency confirmed the appointment of the new director-general by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi.

Musa has worked for Tourism Malaysia since July 1990 when he was assistant director of the reinforcement and facilitation division.

During his tenure with the government agency, he has held several positions including special officer for tourism to former Malaysian Minister of Culture, Art and Tourism Tan Sri Sabbaruddin Chik 1997 to 1998.

Musa was also director of Tourism Malaysia Paris from 1998 until 2003.

His experience in Tourism Malaysia includes in the development of marketing, corporate and international promotions.

Prior to being promoted to the post of director-general of Tourism Malaysia, Musa was senior director of the international promotion division of Africa for Tourism Malaysia.
