SINGAPORE, 20 November 2018: Bedsonline, an accommodation and travel distribution channel for travel agents announced, Monday, the appointment of Stuart Dale as regional sales director Asia.
Dale will be responsible for serving Bedsonline’s clients, made up solely of travel agents. He was previously interim vice president Europe & beach-hotel sourcing for GTA.
In addition, the group confirmed senior team members in regional manager roles who will report to Dale.
Elif Esen covers Singapore and Indonesia, Jin-Young Jun Southeast Asia and Korea, Tatsuo Masumoto Japan and Vincent Zha Greater China.
This news follows the recent announcement that Hotelbeds Group, the parent company of both GTA and Bedsonline, will consolidate its retail product portfolio. It will offer globally a single refreshed Bedsonline brand and platform.
The strategic milestone followed extensive consultation with customers since Tourico Holidays and GTA – along with its retail brands TravelBound and TravelCube – joined Hotelbeds Group in 2017.
Following the consolidation of GTA’s brand portfolio, a migration plan is already underway to explain to GTA’s travel agent customers the benefits of moving to Bedsonline’s booking platform – where the combination of the GTA retail brand’s content will increase from 55,000 to 170,000 hotels.
