SAMUI, 25 May 2018: Regattas Asia, a water sports event management company, will stage the 17th Samui Regatta, 26 May to 2 June, off Chaweng Beach.
The regatta’s official address and host hotel is Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui
Billed as the “Tropical Island Regatta”, Samui Regatta attracts top yachts and sailors from around Asia, each year. It also includes dinghy races for youngsters.
Debuting this year will be kite-boarding races as the first stage of a new pan-Asia tour.
The final event of the regional 2017/18 Asian Yachting Grand Prix will attract more than 500 sailors from 20 countries.
Backed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Samui Regatta has put Samui Island on the map as a top sailing and sports tourism destination.
