-

PHUKET, 8 February 2018: A strong line-up of 33 boats and almost 300 sailors from around the world competed in 21st edition of The Bay Regatta last week.

The travelling regatta sailed through three of Thailand’s most beautiful provinces – Phuket, Phang Nga and Krabi – with a different anchorages each night.

After four days of passage races through the Phang Nga Bay archipelago and the islands off Krabi’s coast the yacht, Megazip, claimed the Racing Class title for the second year running in category A.

Cruising B Class was won by the Thai crewed Marigold, skippered by Ket Mangklaseranee.

Phang Nga Bay provides one of the most spectacular regatta backdrops in the world and with strong winds the multihull fleet was flying offering exciting racing for crews and spectators.

The Bay Regatta is organised by water sports event management company Regattas Asia. For more information, visit www.bayregatta.com or www.facebook.com/bayregatta.
