KLM flies to Faroe

AMSTERDAM, 3 July 2018: KLM and Air France, have just entered into a new partnership with Atlantic Airways, which will make it easier to travel to the popular Faroe Islands.

Recently, KLM announced it has strengthened services to South America, adding direct flights to Fortaleza, Brazil. Now KLM add flights to the Faroe Islands.

Cooperation with Atlantic Airways between Vagar (Faroe Islands) and Copenhagen, Billund, Aalborg, Bergen, Edinburgh and Reykjavik means that those living in the Faroe Islands will have access to KLM and Air Frances’ network of 314 destinations in 116 countries.

In addition, KLM and Air France also offer the opportunity to visit the popular destination for those who want to experience the scenic surroundings of the Faroe Islands.

Atlantic Airways is the Faroe Islands national airline, that serves Vagar, the only airport in the Faroe Islands.

It offers 3,000 annual flights to 12 destinations with good connections to Air France KLM destinations, such as Copenhagen, Billund, Bergen and Edinburgh. Atlantic Airways is one of the youngest fleets in the world, consisting of Airbus 319 and 320 aircraft.

In the Danish market, the number of departures with KLM has risen to 48 per week from Copenhagen to Amsterdam, 35 from Billund to Amsterdam and 27 from Aalborg to Amsterdam. Air France has 14 weekly departures from Billund and 35 departures from Copenhagen to Paris Charles de Gaulle.
