Chris Flynn leaves PATA

BANGKOK, 15 June 2018: Pacific Asia Travel Association has confirmed regional director Pacific, Chris Flynn, will leave the organisation 30 June.

He has worked for PATA for 15 years.

The PATA update said he was leaving for personal reasons to spend more time with his family, while focusing on cultural tourism.

Commenting on Flynn’s departure, PATA CEO, Mario Hardy, reassured members that the association remains fully committed to the Pacific region.

We will continue all efforts already initiated by Chris in increasing our engagement within the Pacific region.”

Hardy said he would seek ways to manage the region with local representation. It is understood that the position of regional director Pacific will be phased out once Flynn leaves.

Until a local representative is appointed activities in the Pacific would be carried out by the head office in Bangkok.
