BANGKOK, 11 January 2018: Travel group, Go Vacation, has gained Travelife Partner Sustainability Award status for more of its offices in Asia.
In December last year, Go Vacation Sri Lanka was awarded Travellife certification and now the group confirms the same status for its offices in Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
The award process is a prestigious recognition of the travel company’s leadership in terms of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
Travelife certification confirmed this month that Go Vacation companies complied with a checklist of over 100 criteria including operations, office management, product diversity, international partnership and customer communications.
Travelife standards cover a range of ISO 26000 corporate social responsibility issues concerned with the environment, biodiversity, human rights and labour relations.
It is acknowledged as being in full compliance with UN supported global sustainable tourism objectives.
Go Vacation managing director, Christoph Mueller commented: “Travelife Partner status reflects (our commitment) to all aspects of sustainability, and we see this responsibility as an opportunity to play an active role in shaping the development of tourism in our region”.
