Air India shelves Hong Kong launch

-

MUMBAI, India, 6 November 2019: Air India has again postponed the launch of its Mumbai – Hong Kong service until January 2020

The airline had earlier confirmed it would start the new service 21 December, but it is understood that due to demonstrations in Hong Kong that disrupted public transport and the airport the airline’s management moved the launch to 21 January.

According to Airlineroute timetable information, Air India will deploy a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner to operate the daily service.

The flight will depart Mumbai at 0820 and arrive in Hong Kong at 1635.  The return flight will depart Hong Kong at 1800 and arrive in Mumbai at 2150.

Last August, Air India cancelled flights on the New Delhi-Hong Kong route when demonstrations closed the territory’s airport.
