Cebu Pacific extends GDS deal

MANILA, 11 July 2019: Cebu Pacific, has renewed its agreement with Navitaire, an Amadeus company that provides global distribution systems to low-cost airlines.

Under the terms of the contract, Cebu Pacific will use Navitaire’s advanced reservations, ancillary and revenue accounting platforms, including its diverse digital, merchandizing, and distribution capabilities, through 2028.

The carrier will also use Navitaire’s digital services team for web and mobile development.

The contract renewal between Navitaire and Cebu Pacific extends a decade-long partnership.

Cebu Pacific flew 20 million passengers in 2018 and recorded a 10-year track record of profitability and revenue growth, bolstered by its strong ancillary revenue generation results of 20%.

The airline will also leverage Navitaire’s solutions, including the New Skies digital reservations platform, as it expects to further expand its domestic and international footprint.

It will take delivery of 30 new aircraft and recently announced plans to grow its hubs at Cebu and Clark airports, as well as increase its North Asia services to China, Korea and Japan.

Navitaire provides technology and business solutions to the airline industry, powering more than 60 of the world’s leading low-cost and hybrid carriers.
