Xiamen Airlines flies to Cebu

CEBU, Philippines, 17 June 2019: Xiamen Airlines flies a new service between the Chinese city Chengdu to Cebu in the Philippines effective 27 June.

Previously scheduled for launch on 31 March the Chinese revised the date for a three weekly service according to Airlineroute.

Using a Boeing 737 the flight will depart Chengdu at 0630 and will arrive at 1050 in Cebu. The return flight will depart at 1905 and will arrive in Chengdu at 2330.

Catering to tour package bookings with seat allotments pre-sold to tour operators in Chengdu, the service will fly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

The airline has also confirmed scheduled changes on its Fuzhou – Cebu service that will see the departure time shift from morning to early afternoon.

Chengdu is the capital of southwest China’s Sichuan province, best known for being the home of the giant pandas.

Xiamen Air is based out of Xiamen, Fujian Province operating from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and also from Fuzhou Changle International Airport and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport.

The airline is owned by China Southern Airlines (55%), Xiamen Construction and Development Group (34%), and Fujian Investment & Development Group (11%).

Xiamen Airlines holds a 99.23% stake in Hebei Airlines and a 60% stake in Jiangxi Airlines and is a member of the Sky Team alliance. (Wikipedia).
