SINGAPORE, 13 May 2019: This summer, travellers can look forward to basking in sunshine and song at some of Europe’s biggest music festivals. Whether it’s contemporary entertainment or classical genres, music and culture lovers can now discover the best of Europe’s summer music scene with Emirates’ special deals.  

For a limited time only, holiday-goers can enjoy exclusive deals to Europe on Economy Class and Business Class.  London, United Kingdom

Expect nonstop fun and entertainment at the Wireless Festival, the biggest urban music festival in the United Kingdom. Returning this year to London’s Finsbury Park from 5-7 July, Wireless is set to feature an impressive lineup of artists, including hip-hop heavyweights such as A$AP Rocky, Cardi B, Travis Scott, Future and many more.

London-bound classical lovers should check out The Proms, an eight-week long celebration of classical and orchestral music. Held from 19 July-14 September, The Proms has grown into one of the world’s biggest classical music festivals. In London’s Hyde Park, visitors can enjoy live performances by the BBC Concert Orchestra and spectacular fireworks displays at Proms in the Park, which takes place on the closing night of The Proms. Emirates has three gateways to London including Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted with 11 flights daily from 1 July.  To London’s Heathrow airport alone, Emirates has six daily flights from Dubai at convenient timings, for seamless connectivity with the minimum waiting time.

Paris, France

Originating in Chicago, the iconic American festival Lollapalooza makes its return to Paris this summer at the Hippodrome de Longchamp on 20 July. Since its debut in 2017, Lollapalooza Paris has wasted no time in establishing itself as one of the biggest musical festivals in the French capital. This year’s lineup promises to be exciting, with international artists such as Martin Garrix, Twenty One Pilots and Clean Bandit scheduled to take centre stage. Other acts set to perform also include English pop rock band The 1975, Kodaline and much more.

Zurich, Switzerland

Multi-genre music fans should check out Zurich Openair, the largest and most popular open-air music festival in Zurich. Held from 21-25 August, this year’s lineup is as diverse as it is impressive, featuring headliners such as Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia and Billie Ellish. Situated close to Zurich Airport, this festival also makes for an ideal event for travellers stopping over.

Athens, Greece

Travellers hoping to unlock a culturally immersive experience should pay a visit to The AthFest Music and Arts Festival. Taking place in downtown Athens between 21 to 23 June, the 3-day event brings the best local and regional musicians and visual artists together. The annual festival also serves as a fundraiser for AthFest Educates, a non-profit organization that supports arts and music education for local youths in the area.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands

At the Netherland’s oldest and largest performing arts festival, The Holland Festival, visitors will be treated to Dutch and international performances covering a wide variety of genres. Established in 1947, the festival offers the very best in theatre, opera, dance, classical music, world music, ballet, art and multimedia performances.

Rome, Italy
