Lamborghini brand in top gear

TAIPEI, 2 July 2018: Two hotels will be developed in Siem Reap, Cambodia, under the luxury brand of Tonino Lamborghini Hotels & Resorts.

Join.In Hospitality Management Co Ltd and Shimao International Development Co Ltd signed the agreement on the two properties, last week.

It marks the company first brand expansion outside of China, after establishing its first hotel in 2012.

The group has expanded to six properties in major cities in China with one more due to open in Xuzhou this later this year.

“This is a major milestone and part of an already very successful development of Tonino Lamborghini Hotels and Resorts brand,” said Join.In Hospitality Management Co Ltd chief operating officer Roberto Simone. “The signing of our cooperation with Shimao International Development Co Ltd that will see the development of two properties in the historical city of Siem Reap, Cambodia is the first step in our expansion outside of China.”

The Tonino Lamborghini Hotels & Resorts brand started in 2012 with the opening of its first luxury hotel in the city of Suzhou, shortly followed by properties in Kunshan and Huangshi.

Currently, the brand’s development pipeline has 18 projects in prime locations across mainland China, namely Chogqing, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Zhengzhou, Xi’an, Qingdao, Dalian, Xuzhou, Wuxi, Wenzhou, Yixing, Huangshan, Taihangshan and Taihu, all to be opened before 2020.

The two signed properties in Siem Reap mark the company’s first expansion outside of China, but there are plans to have 12 more properties in the tourism areas across East and Southeast Asia, starting with Macau and Saipan.
