Springtime Carnival at Disneyland

HONG KONG, 16 January 2018: Experience a whole new level of magic and energy this spring at Hong Kong Disneyland, as more than 100 Disney Friends in various forms celebrate the Disney Friends Springtime Carnival from March 15 to June 20.

There’s no better place than Hong Kong Disneyland Resort for guests to enjoy the season of renewal this year.

With the beautiful springtime carnival as the backdrop, the park presents to you the all-new “We Love Mickey!” nighttime projection show debuting on Main Street, U.S.A. Also, new and longtime Disney friends will be appearing at the new Africa-themed Karibuni Marketplace in Adventureland and other locations across the park to greet guests and take photos.

In addition, there will be Disney character-themed eggs to find, delicacies to taste and unique keepsakes to buy in the park, along with exceptional dining and accommodation experiences at the three resort hotels.

To kick off the beginning of the season, Minnie is inviting her pals to a surprise celebration for the one and only Mickey in a heart-warming projection show called “We Love Mickey!,” which will be held every evening at the park starting 15 March. This celebration features larger-than-life nighttime projections on the Main Street, U.S.A. buildings that pay tribute to Mickey’s major life milestones. The artistic experience features Mickey’s memorable classics, his full-colour heyday, and a crazy kaleidoscope of Mickey in modern styles. These iconic images of Mickey will be played out over four chapters along Main Street, U.S.A. Afterward, Mickey will appear to thank everyone for the big surprise.

More than 30 Disney Friends will show up in force for an encore of the popular Disney Friends Springtime Processional. Disney characters will appear on a flower-decorated train for the high-spirit processional every afternoon. Duffy, ShellieMay, Gelatoni and StellaLou—wearing their spring outfits—will be joined by Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Judy and Nick from “Zootopia,” Alice and the White Rabbit from “Alice in Wonderland,” Marie from “The Aristocats,” the Seven Dwarfs, and Tigger and Piglet, along with around 50 dancers!

Be sure not to miss all the great photo opportunities in the park. Making their park debut and greeting guests at different times from February to April will be Moana and the Marvel Super Heroes Black Panther and Groot. In Adventureland, meet Judy and Nick from “Zootopia.” In Tomorrowland, Spider-Man will return from April to June for photos with guests. The new African-themed Karibuni Marketplace, opening in March, welcomes guests to meet some adventurous Disney Friends while exploring the sounds and aromas of Africa and playing interactive games.

Whimsical garden scenes at the Disney Friends Springtime Garden make for adorable photo backdrops. Go on a Disney Friends Egg Hunt to find the 100-plus enlarged Disney character eggs in the park and the resort hotels for more fun photo opportunities. At the Royal Princess Garden, young princesses can get a magical makeover at the park’s first beauty salon Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and enjoy dream-come-true meetings and photos with beloved Disney Princesses in an exquisite garden area.

Disney character-inspired snacking and shopping

Snacks and drinks will also be ready for guests to fully savor the springtime bonanza.
