Singapore brings HANNOVER MESSE to Asia.

SINGAPORE, 6 November 2017: Singapore is slated to host the 2018 premiere of Industrial Transformation Asia Pacific – A HANNOVER MESSE Event.

The Singapore Tourism Board and Deutsche Messe AG have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to organise the Industrial Transformation Asia Pacific trade show for three years in Singapore.

The agreement covers the development of new content and exhibition components for the tradeshow, marketing and publicity efforts, as well as collaboration in terms of industry knowledge exchange and new tradeshows. Read more

BANGKOK, 6 November 2017: Travel shows are embracing technology fast and it shows in the reduction of paper waste.  We no longer have the bulky sellers and buyers catalogues. Instead, there are apps that provide a calendar and online databases to provide sellers with access to buyer profiles.

It’s a pity that ITB Asia official trade media is living in the past churning out pulp dailies on heavy glossy paper that are destined for the garbage trucks.

Record ITB Asia unfolds in Singapore

SINGAPORE, 30 October 2017: ITB Asia 2017 has completed its milestone anniversary event with record-breaking numbers, the organisers claimed in their closing media release.

The trade show’s management failed to keep their appointment with media attending the event by cancelling the opening press conference for the first time in the event’s 10-year history. It set the tone for the  largely deserted media centre during the rest of the event.

SINGAPORE, 5 September 2017: Messe Berlin Singapore, organisers of ITB Asia 2017,  says booth bookings are sold out ahead of its milestone show, this October, that marks its 10th anniversary. ,

The show continues its strong Asian backing with 60% of exhibiting companies coming from the region.

ITB Asia explores AI influence on travel

ITB Asia, Messe Berlin (Singapore) announced the theme “The Future of Travel”, for this year’s trade show opening 25 October.

Thailand plus One strategy

CHIANG MAI, 15 June 2017: Thailand’s premier travel show TTM+ opened, Wednesday, welcoming a record turnout of 480 buyers from 64 countries, who will network with 354 sellers from Thailand and Greater Mekong Sub-region countries over the next two days.

Hosted in Chiang Mai for the second year running sellers noted a higher turnout of Chinese buyers this year reflecting the growing importance of the China outbound  market for Thailand and its GMS neighbours.

Now in its 16th year, the TTM+ 2017 official tally listed  buyers from Europe (182), East Asia (137), ASEAN (42), America (38), Oceania (29), the Middle East (11), and Thailand (41). Read more

ITB China: Startup have a day in the sun

SHANGHAI, 2 May 2017: The ITB China Startup Awards scheduled for the inaugural trade show will recognise companies that have turned dreams and ideas into viable business solutions.

Short-listed innovators from startup companies that have launched their products within the last three years will demonstrate their innovative solutions to a  jury comprising experienced industry professionals.

Given just eight minutes to make their pitch, the innovators have to explain how their product will impact on the future of the travel industry. The presentations will take place 11 May from 1520 to 1650 in the conference centre. Read more
