BANGKOK, 12 September 2017: Operation Smile Thailand encouraged 20 cyclists, who joined the inaugural YAANA Bike Challenge, offering them a big ‘thank you’ as they embarked on 226-km fundraiser ride for the charity, 9 September.

The three-day corporate challenge ended Monday, 11 September in central Vietnam.

Riders raised  thousands of dollars for Operation Smile, which pays for operations for Asian children born with facial deformities such as cleft lip. Read more

Phoenix Voyages Group sales and management teams came from the group’s offices in Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Korea.

STB confirms MISA’s fate

SINGAPORE, 27 June 2017: Singapore Tourism Board issued a Confirmation of Revocation last week on the defunct MISA Travel Ptd Ltd, officially withdrawing the company’s licence under the Travel Agent Act.

The tour company ceased operations in May and was served notice of revocation by the STB, 31 May. The company was given the right to appeal by 21 June, or face the loss of its licence.

STB at the time it served notice said MISA Travel had ceased to carry on the business of a travel agent and was unable to fulfill its obligations towards its customers. Read more

Angkor race a firm fixture

SIEM REAP, 8 February 2017: Over 400 runners joined the second annual Angkor Ultra Trail race according to a post-event report by organisers Phoenix Voyages.

The inbound tour company organised the race with SDPO late January on a trail that featured the famed Angkor temples as a backdrop.

In addition to the main 128 km race there were four other races: the “Bayon Trail” 64 km, the “Jungle Trail Angkor” 32 km, the “Temple Run Angkor” 16 km and “Nordic Walking Angkor” 16 km. Read more
