BANGKOK, 31 March 2017: Bangkok Airways presented its  latest inflight menus to Bangkok journalists who were given a preview during a media event, Thursday.

Tagged “The best of Thai and ASEAN cuisine,” the new menu rotates six Thai dishes and on the national days of the other nine ASEAN nations a signature dish will be served to mark the occasion.

The menu launch was hosted at Suvarnabhumi Airport by Sirichalerm Svasti, Inflight services consultant of Bangkok Airways, together with the airline’s inflight services manager, Aramsri Tassanasuwan  and Bangkok Air Catering director corporate communications Amorn Rassamesangpetch. Read more

Thai food can grow tourism

BANGKOK, 18 October 2016: Kasikorn Research Centre says Thai food, famous worldwide, paves the way for the country’s food supply business to expand in overseas markets as well as encourage the sale of franchises and the set up Thai fast food chains.

Thai government has a policy to promote Thailand to be the Kitchen of the World.

The bank’s think-tank unit said Thai restaurants should play a role promoting culture and local food to foreigners resulting in the export of goods related to Thai food overseas. Read more

Cuisine to boost Thailand tourism

BANGKOK, 3 June 2016: Thai food and seasonal fruits are in fashion and are two compelling reasons that drive the country’s tourism appeal especially for Asian visitors.

That was the opinion of Thailand Chamber of Commerce vice president, Kalin Sarasin, who addressed the Association of Thai Travel Agents’ members, Tuesday.

Thailand’s famous spice food have inspired international chefs for decades as seen by the popularity of Thai restaurants, worldwide and there is also a strong interest in joining Thai cooking classes when visiting the country. Read more
