Qatar daily to Cardiff

-

DOHA, Qatar, 3 May 2018:  The first Qatar Airways flight from Doha to Cardiff, the capital city of Wales, touched down 1 May at Cardiff Airport.

The airline flew the inaugural service using an Airbus A350-900, but the scheduled daily services will use a 252-seat Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which has a two-class configuration.

The new service is the airline’s fifth gateway in the UK. Other gateways are London Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham, and Edinburgh, with service to London Gatwick to commence 22 May.

Qatar’s services from the UK to Doha connect with flights to Hong Kong, China and Sydney and Melbourne in Australia.

Last month the airline confirmed it will continue to expand despite declines in revenue and operating profits. It will be the first Gulf carrier to begin direct service to Luxembourg.

Other new destinations to be launched by the airline include Tallinn, Estonia; Valletta, Malta; Langkawi, Malaysia; Danang, Vietnam; Bodrum and Antalya, Turkey; Mykonos, Greece and Málaga, Spain.
