Singaporeans tighten purse strings

SINGAPORE, 24 November 2020: Tight travel restrictions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic may be easing slightly, but the financial legacy lingers forcing travellers to tighten their purse strings and demand greater value and reassurance when planning future travel plans.

Booking.com observes that 70% of Singapore travellers believe they will be more price-conscious when it comes to searching and planning a trip post-Covid-19, while 70% also expect travel companies to support their future travel plans offering discounts and promotions.

The online travel booking platform launched deals for Singaporeans looking to save while still planning for upcoming trips both in Singapore and beyond.

Receive up to 12% epic cash back on Booking.com purchases for 27 to30 December, and 6% on every other remaining day of December.

Black Friday + Early 2021 deals

There is a 30% off when you book a stay at select hotels for Black Friday and early 2021. Black Friday deals have been selling since 19 November onwards. Early 2021 deals will begin 5 January 2021 and beyond.

Booking.com visitors says it is offering 15% or more off stays between now and 4 January 2021.

Mobile Rates

Users who book through their mobile devices will receive special rates on the Booking.com app and mobile browsers.

Guests will receive a minimum 10% discount at select hotels, as indicated with a special badge that appears next to the property in search results.

In the launch presentation for the early bird deals, Booking.com noted that as “ 2021 rolls closer and closer, the way travellers plan to experience the world is going to continue to evolve. No matter the evolution though, one thing is for sure: travellers will be prioritising value more than ever.”
