BBTF seeks feedback on 2021 show

-

DENPASAR, Bali, 17 November 2020: Organisers of the Bali & Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) are asking for feedback on whether to continue with plans for a physical show or switch to a virtual format in 2021.

Due to the impact of Covid-19 global pandemic on global tourism, the organisers cancelled the 7th annual BBTF 2020 that was scheduled for last June.

At the time the organisers promised, “we will come back stronger to bring the best of Indonesia to the 7th BBTF 2021 as Indonesia’s leading Travel Fair, 8-12 June 2021.”

But now they face the question of whether a physical or virtual show would be the safer option prompting a survey to gauge responses from hundreds of buyers and sellers who normally gather annually at the BBTF.

Indonesia remains closed to leisure travel until at least the early part of 2021, but with the uncertainties that the Covid-19 pandemic presents for the country’s tourism industry there are doubts that BBTF can host an in-person event successfully in mid-2021

The BBTF committee emailed a survey on Monday that asks for seller and buyer preferences on the important question of an in-person or virtual show format.

In the email, the committee said it was confident in its ability to continue its history of success with the upcoming event in 2021.

As it stands the 7th BBTF 2021 is scheduled to convene at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre (BNDCC) 8 to 21 June 2021 under the theme “Going Further for Cultural Heritage.”

“Business in the ‘New Normal’ must go on, however in order to get input for the best implementation of the event, BBTF requests your assistance to fill in a questionnaire to determine attendance,” the email stated

Travel Trade buyers can participate in the survey via the following link until the deadline 20 November 2020: https://bit.ly/SurveyBBTF2021
