AUCKLAND, 18 July 2019: Time is running out for yachting enthusiasts who want to berth their boats close to the 36th America’s Cup action.
Scheduled for March 2021 in Auckland, New Zealand, owners of superyachts are advised to book berths early if they are planning a sail to watch the famous race series.
Yachts planning to visit the event should contact Asia Pacific Superyachts New Zealand office director, Duthie Lidgard.
He reports: “It’s important to know if you are planning on coming to the 2021 America’s Cup as time is running out to grab a berth”.
Auckland the venue for the America’s Cup in 2021 will host 11 events including superyacht regattas, superyacht fishing competitions and island cruises, to entertain visiting yachts.
NZ Marine recently posted a brochure detailing events for superyachts, while the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS) issued a race and cruise calendar.
Yacht owners are seeking berths at Auckland’s popular marinas between 1 October 2020 and 31 March 2021.
Expressions of interest should be registered by the end of August 2019.
