SINGAPORE, 20 July 2018: Kerzner International Holdings Limited will introduce a One&Only resort and residence project at Desaru Coast, Malaysia’s first integrated resort.
Kerzner owns One&Only Resorts and Atlantis Resort & Residences brands worldwide.
It will be the first One&Only in Malaysia as the group begins a brand expansion in Asia.
The 128-acre beachfront development, will offer 42 suites, two luxury suites and an exclusive four-bedroom villa, as well as approximately 50 One&Only private homes available for purchase.
One&Only Desaru Coast will have a destination spa, introducing traditional and holistic practices fused with modern spa therapies and wellness packages.
“Malaysia is the perfect location for the next One&Only resort and for the brand to enter Asia. We are proud to have been selected to operate the resort on Desaru Coast as One&Only and we look forward to announcing an opening date in the near future,” said Kerzner International CEO, Michael Wale.
Close to Singapore Changi International Airport and Senai International Airport in Johor, Desaru Coast has been under development since 2016 when its golf courses opened.
Developed by Desaru Development Holdings, Desaru Coast is located at the southeast tip of Malaysia, spanning over 3,900 acres along a 17 km beachfront.
Its anchor project is the popular Adventure Waterpark, one of the world’s biggest waterparks with the largest wave pool in Southeast Asia.
The integrated beachfront destination when completed will be home to branded hotels and resorts such as Westin Desaru Coast Resort, Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast and Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas.
