Wing lands acquisition in Singapore

SINGAPORE, 17 October 2017: Wings Travel Management, a global travel management company, is expanding its presence in the Asia Pacific region with an acquisition of a well known travel firm in Singapore.

Majoring in business travel and support services for clients in the corporate, oil, gas and marine industries, the company sealed a Sale and Purchase Agreement for the acquisition of a 70% stake in Olympia Travels & Tours for an undisclosed sum.

Although the acquisition will not be completed before 1 January 2018, Wings will serve its existing customers in Asia from Singapore with immediate effect. Read more

Bintan’s corporate ‘rojack package

BINTAN, 21 September 2017: Bintan Lagoon Resort has created a so-called ‘Rojak’ package that takes the hard work out of booking and organising an off shore event.

The Rojak package is named after the popular Southeast Asian salad, which is a mix of fresh fruits and vegetables tossed in a spicy sauce.

India’s Yatra buys out ATB

GURGAON, INDIA, 27 July 2017: Yatra Online has entered into a definitive agreement, through its subsidiary, Yatra Online Private Limited to acquire Air Travel Bureau Ltd.

The Boards of Directors of both companies have approved the transaction according to the announcement last Tuesday.

ATB is India’s largest independent corporate travel services provider with gross bookings of INR15 billion mainly through 400 large and medium sized businesses across India. Read more

The observations were made based on input from over 100 respondents resident in 15 key markets, who participated in the Sabre Corporate Travel Practices Survey 2015.

The sampling represented both dedicated corporate travel management companies, travel agencies and a sample of online travel brands servicing corporate accounts.

Altéa tool identifies customer needs

BANGKOK, 18 February 2015: Amadeus announced, Tuesday, that Lufthansa is the first airline customer to select Amadeus’ patent-pending Altéa Corporate Recognition.

The tool allows the airline to recognise corporate customers at the time of booking and then offer them tailor-made options based on their customer preferences.

By automatically recognising the corporation to which a business traveller belongs, allows the airline to ensure corporate customers are offered preferential handling from the first booking step onwards, or that individual business travellers are managed as valued customers when at the airport and are then fast-tracked through security for example.
