KUALA LUMPUR, 15 October 2026: Batik Air will add three new destinations — Miri and Sibu in Sarawak and Bali, Indonesia — to its route network out of its Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport Subang hub.
Three new direct services to Miri (MYY), Sibu (SBW) and Bali (DPS) will expand Subang’s connectivity to popular tourist destinations in East Malaysia and Indonesia’s premier holiday island, Bali.

The new services, using 169-seat B737-800s, will give travellers more options to fly directly from Subang, complement Batik Air’s existing international services from the airport, and offer a convenient alternative for passengers who might otherwise travel through Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
Starting 1 December 2026, Batik Air will operate three weekly services from Subang to Miri and Sibu, connecting the Klang Valley directly with two of Sarawak’s key tourist destinations. The Subang–Bali service will commence on 2 December 2026, offering four weekly flights to one of Indonesia’s most popular leisure destinations.
The new East Malaysia services reflect the strong travel and business links between Peninsular Malaysia and Sarawak. Miri, an important centre for the energy and services sectors, attracts business travellers as well as family and leisure visitors. Sibu, meanwhile, is a key commercial centre in central Sarawak, with established connections to business, trade and family travel.
For leisure travellers, Bali provides a popular international option from Subang, particularly for the Greater Klang Valley population of approximately 9 million. The direct service offers a more convenient city-centre departure point for holidaymakers, providing an alternative to travelling to KLIA while giving travellers greater flexibility when planning their trips.
The airline will offer four weekly flights on the Subang-Denpasar Bali route on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday using a B737-800 with 169 seats.
