Vietjet announces five new routes to China.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Expanding connectivity between Vietnam and China<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Investment Cooperation Conference in Beijing, Vietjet unveiled five new routes: Hanoi\u2013Hangzhou, Hanoi\u2013Enshi, Hanoi\u2013Huangshan, Ho Chi Minh City\u2013Guilin, and Ho Chi Minh City\u2013Huangshan.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hanoi\u2013Enshi and Ho Chi Minh City\u2013Guilin routes have been operating since early April. These additions further expand Vietjet\u2019s growing international network, strengthening links among key economic, cultural, and tourism hubs and supporting the Vietnam\u2013China Tourism Cooperation Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over more than a decade, Vietjet has operated 131 routes between Vietnam and China, completing nearly 70,000 flights and carrying approximately 14.5 million passengers, connecting 55 Chinese cities with Vietnam\u2019s major destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strengthening aviation finance and fleet<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its growth strategy, Vietjet has also signed an agreement with SPDB Financial Leasing (SPDBFL), a subsidiary of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, to finance aircraft through operating leases on a larger scale, covering up to 10 COMAC C919 aircraft.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement lays the groundwork for the introduction of COMAC aircraft on routes between Vietnam and China, supporting the airline\u2019s continued network expansion. It will also enable the airline to expand and modernise its fleet through diversified financing structures, optimise operational efficiency, and strengthen access to international capital markets. This fleet growth is expected to support increased capacity across Vietjet\u2019s broader international network, helping the airline sustain competitive fares and meet growing travel demand across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AVIC Cabin Systems develop aircraft interiors<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Complementing its network and fleet expansion, Vietjet has also entered into a comprehensive cooperation agreement with AVIC Cabin Systems to develop aircraft interiors and strengthen aviation supporting industries. Through collaboration with Jiatai, a member of AVIC Cabin Systems, the partnership will also promote localisation of the supply chain and facilitate technology transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A broader range of cooperation initiatives was also announced across aviation finance, engineering, logistics, and supply chains, reflecting a growing trend of deeper, more integrated partnerships between airlines, financial institutions, and industrial players.
