It offers a rare glimpse into the rich history and cultural significance of Lyon&#8217;s silk industry in the 18th century.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"541\" height=\"351\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/4-10.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-237658 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/4-10.jpg 541w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/4-10-300x195.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 541px) 100vw, 541px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 541px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 541\/351;\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Photo credit: China National Silk Museum.<\/em> <em>Audience visiting the \u201cLyon in the 18th Century\u201d exhibition.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The exhibition is divided into two sections: &#8220;Lyon City in the 18<sup>th<\/sup> Century&#8221; and &#8220;The Great Lyonnais Silk.&#8221; It presents 36 sets\/pieces of architectural models, silk fabrics, clothing, portraits, and ceramics.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition not only showcases France&#8217;s socio-economic thoughts and fashion advancements but also serves as a testament to the rich cultural exchanges between China and the West. It features Chinese elements in Western painting and clothing, highlighting the mutual influence and appreciation of these two great civilizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this exhibition, the Chinese audience can gain a deeper understanding of the love that the Hungarian aristocracy of the 16th and 17th centuries had for silk and jewellery.
