{"id":224929,"date":"2023-08-15T06:15:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-14T23:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/?p=224929"},"modified":"2023-08-14T19:46:36","modified_gmt":"2023-08-14T12:46:36","slug":"air-india-unveils-new-branding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/2023\/08\/air-india-unveils-new-branding\/","title":{"rendered":"Air India unveils new branding"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SINGAPORE, 15 August 2023: Air India, a Tata Group-owned airline, unveiled a new brand identity and new aircraft livery at the weekend, replacing the current logo and colours introduced in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline\u2019s famous Maharaja mascot has been around since 1946, while during its long history (founded in 1932), Air India has adopted eight different logos and branding adaptations.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"374\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-600x374.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-224958 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-600x374.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-768x479.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-1536x957.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-2048x1276.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-696x434.jpg 696w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-1068x666.jpg 1068w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-1920x1197.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Air-India_1-674x420.jpg 674w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/374;\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The new branding reimagines the iconic Indian window shape, historically used by Air India, into a gold window frame that becomes central to the new brand design system &#8211; symbolising a \u2018Window of Possibilities\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India\u2019s new logo symbol &#8211; \u2018The Vista\u2019 &#8211; is inspired by the peak of the gold window frame, signifying limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the airline\u2019s bold, confident outlook for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India&#8217;s brand-new aircraft livery and design features a palette of deep red, aubergine, and gold highlights and a chakra-inspired pattern.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India CEO Campbell Wilson said: \u201cOur transformative new brand reflects an ambition to make Air India a world-class airline serving guests from around the globe, and that represents a new India proudly on the global stage.<br>\u201cThe new Air India is bold, confident, and vibrant, but also warm and deeply rooted to its rich history and traditions that make Indian hospitality a global benchmark for standards in service.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travellers will begin to see the new logo throughout their journey starting December 2023, when Air India\u2019s first Airbus A350 enters the fleet in the new livery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India has also launched a new website, mobile app, and loyalty programme offering significantly improved benefits, while the web experience will feature new digital tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India has confirmed historic purchase agreements to acquire 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing valued at USD70 billion, with new aircraft deliveries starting in November this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Air India\u2019s fleet transformation has already begun with the airline leasing and buying 20 widebody aircraft this year. A USD400 million programme to completely refurbish the interiors of its legacy fleet of 43 widebody aircraft commences mid-2024, which will lead to the installation of brand-new seats in every cabin, new inflight entertainment systems, and inflight Wi-Fi internet connectivity.
