As of June 2022, AirAsia Philippines recorded an average month-on-month growth of 31% in domestic passengers. The uptick in passengers was seen following the relaxation of border protocols and the downward trend of daily Covid cases in the country. The reopening of international flights and the gradual increase in flights to international destinations led to average month-on-month growth of 157% from February to June 2022 for AirAsia Philippines&#8217; international routes.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"592\" height=\"308\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/1-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-207938 lazyload\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/1-4.jpg 592w, https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/1-4-300x156.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 592px) 100vw, 592px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 592px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 592\/308;\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>AirAsia Philippines spokesperson and head of communications and public affairs Steve Dailisan commented: \u201cWe at AirAsia Philippines are determined to sustain travel momentum notwithstanding market movements such as the rise in fuel surcharge cost.
