{"id":204850,"date":"2022-05-18T02:15:18","date_gmt":"2022-05-17T19:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/?p=204850"},"modified":"2022-05-18T03:25:53","modified_gmt":"2022-05-17T20:25:53","slug":"emirates-reaffirms-partnership-with-mauritius","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/2022\/05\/emirates-reaffirms-partnership-with-mauritius\/","title":{"rendered":"Emirates reaffirms partnership with Mauritius"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>DUBAI, UAE, 18 May 2022: Emirates has reaffirmed its\npartnership with Mauritius by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with\nthe Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current agreement builds on the existing partnership\nbetween the two entities to promote tourism to Mauritius from key markets\nacross the Emirates network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/emirates-reaffirms-partnership-600x401.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-204875 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/401;\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The MoU was signed at the 2022 Arabian Travel Market, the\nregion&#8217;s largest travel trade event, by Ahmed Khoory, Emirates&#8217; SVP Commercial\nWest Asia &amp; Indian Ocean and Arvind Bundhun, Director, Mauritius Tourism\nPromotion Authority (MTPA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emirates SVP Commercial West Asia &amp; Indian Ocean Ahmed\nKhoory said: &#8220;We enjoy a long-standing partnership with Mauritius and have\nhad a fruitful association in the past. The renewal of this partnership is a\ntestament to our commitment to boost tourism to the island nation.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;As international borders reopen and travel\nrestrictions ease, we remain deeply committed to supporting initiatives that\nboost inbound tourism and increase leisure traffic to Mauritius. Emirates&#8217;\nsecond daily flight will now start on 23 June to facilitate summer travel from\nthe Americas, Europe and the Middle East to the island nation. The extension of\nour partnership reiterates our commitment to Mauritius and enables joint\ninitiatives to undertake tourism recovery,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the MoU, Emirates will jointly undertake marketing\nactivities with the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emirates started operations to Mauritius in September 2002\nwith three weekly flights and currently is in its 20th year of operations to\nthe Indian Ocean destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Emirates operates nine weekly flights to Mauritius, and in\nline with rising demand, the airline will be scaling up operations to double\ndaily flights from 23 June 2022.
