{"id":204395,"date":"2022-05-04T02:15:04","date_gmt":"2022-05-03T19:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/?p=204395"},"modified":"2022-05-04T03:28:43","modified_gmt":"2022-05-03T20:28:43","slug":"qantas-rolls-out-new-sales-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/2022\/05\/qantas-rolls-out-new-sales-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"Qantas rolls out new sales platform"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SYDNEY, 4 May 2022: Qantas\u2019 next-generation\ndistribution platform is now available for international travel agents,\nunlocking capabilities for agents globally to offer more personalised customer\nservice and access new revenue opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Qantas Distribution Platform \u2013 built\nusing IATA\u2019s New Distribution Capability (NDC) standards \u2013 went live Monday in\nthe UK, US and South Africa and will progressively roll out in other markets in\nthe coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Qantas_Livery-01_RGB_HR-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-145003 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/400;\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The platform has been designed to enhance\nthe service agents provide to customers with a wider range of products, including\nspecial offers for Qantas Frequent Flyers, ancillary products and dynamic\ncommission opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It gives travel agents worldwide access to\nmore automated processes and improved functionality across Qantas bookings,\nincluding automated refunds and ticket revalidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Qantas Distribution Platform is already\navailable in Australia and New Zealand, enabling agents to take advantage of\ndynamic commission opportunities and special offers for customers, such as a\n20% discount on particular routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rich content and new features of the\nQantas Distributed Platform can be accessed via Qantas\u2019 growing network of\ntechnology partners, already delivering Qantas NDC to agents in Australia and\nNew Zealand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Qantas executive manager, global sales\n&amp; distribution Igor Kwiatkowski said rolling out the platform\ninternationally would help agents worldwide better serve customers with Qantas\nbookings as the airline&#8217;s international network ramps up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Despite the significant impact of\nCOVID over the past two years, we have continued to invest in our new\ndistribution capabilities and are pleased to offer these to our international\ntrade partners,&#8221; said Kwiatkowski.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe Qantas Distribution Platform is a key\npart of our strategy to support agency partners with richer content, new\nfeatures and revenue opportunities that help them deliver a better and more\nbespoke experience for customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe know that customers expect an\nincreasingly personalised, flexible and seamless experience, and we&#8217;re\ncommitted to providing travel agents around the world with the tools to offer\nthis service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We will continue to roll out new\ncapabilities and features for our agency partners as the industry evolves the\nservice it offers travellers.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Travel agents registered in the Qantas\nChannel can connect to the Qantas Distribution Platform via either an approved\ntechnology partner or by developing a direct connection to Qantas&#8217; NDC XML\nApplication Programme Interface (API).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SYDNEY, 4 May 2022: Qantas\u2019 next-generation distribution platform is now available for international travel agents, unlocking capabilities for agents globally to offer more personalised customer service and access new revenue opportunities.
