The vessel\nwill provide travellers with immersive experiences through Southeast Alaska,\nvisiting natural wonders, including the passage through the 25-million-acre\nWorld Heritage Site, Glacier Bay National Park. NCL was granted access to this\nnatural wonder due to the Company&#8217;s environmental commitments focused on air\nemissions, waste and wildlife protection. The Company is deeply\ncommitted to the region, working with destination partners in Seattle and\nAlaska to drive immersive and responsible tourism. In conjunction with Port of\nSeattle, Norwegian Cruise Line Holding (NCLH), NCL&#8217;s parent company, invested\nUS$30 million to upgrade Pier 66, the renowned site where Norwegian Bliss was\nchristened in 2018. The dual investment expanded the check-in area by 300% to\nmore than 150,000 square feet. It also expanded two new passenger boarding\nbridges to provide a more comfortable and efficient embarkation process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/ncl-bliss-ak-hottub-1-600x372.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-204268 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/372;\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Driving economic support in Alaska, the Company partnered\nwith and invested in Ward Cove Dock Group, LLC, transforming land, formerly\ndesignated as a superfund cleanup, or contaminated land, by the Environmental\nProtection Agency (EPA), into a sustainable, environmentally friendly and\nentertaining site for the community and cruise visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through a partnership with the Alaska Native-owned Huna\nTotem Corporation, The Company was able to complete a second cruise pier at Icy\nStrait Point and expand the destination&#8217;s Wilderness Landing.
