When using a running 7-day average, occupancy and ADR have been above 90% of pre-pandemic comparables since late March. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.ttrweekly.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/66cd7066-b0da-9354-4a56-06b88c1c2fbe-600x314.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-204176 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 600px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 600\/314;\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On Monday, 18 April, India recorded its highest ADR index at\n106% of 2019 comparable. Occupancy surpassed pre-pandemic levels earlier,\nreaching as high as 109% of the corresponding 2019 level on 25 March. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith the Omicron wave behind us, traveller confidence has\ngrown significantly, and leisure destinations have continued their momentum\nfrom the prior months,\u201d said STR\u2019s regional director \u2013 Pacific, Japan &amp;\nCentral South Asia Matthew Burke. \u201cSelect leisure markets such as Himachal\nPradesh, Goa, and Uttarakhand have seen significant occupancy levels throughout\n2022, most times exceeding pre-pandemic levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He noted that \u201cbusiness demand, which was limited after the\nDelta wave, has shown significant improvement post-Omicron with momentum\ncontinuing through April. While there have been early signs of increased COVID\ncases across some Indian markets, the country\u2019s hotels have shown resilience\nthus far.
