Popular tour packages booked\nat the fair included stays in traditional longhouses, diving, kayaking and\nmountain climbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube aligncenter wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Sarawak Welcomes You Back #JourneyAwaits\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/9gP4LXAKz7Y?feature=oembed&#038;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" data-load-mode=\"1\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarawak Tourism Board chief executive officer Puan Sharzede\nDatu Haji Salleh Askor said: \u201cSarawak\u2019s presence in MATTA Fair 2022 was timely\nwith the reopening of Malaysia\u2019s border. We are all geared up to welcome\ntourists to experience Sarawak\u2019s distinctive blend, whether it is experiencing\nthe culture of Sarawak\u2019s many indigenous communities or exploring gigantic\ncaves in the Gunung Mulu National Park.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarawak was the featured destination for MATTA Fair 2022 for the third time before the national travel fair paused for two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to be once again receiving travellers to\nSarawak from all around the world. It is important for the recovery of the\nindustry and signals a return to some form of normalcy in travel, which is an\nexciting step forward.
