Currently PEAK has 19 Destination Management Companies (DMC) around the world, operating adventure travel itineraries for brands such as Intrepid, Peregrine and Exodus&#8230; and other adventure travel brands within the PEAK Group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>URGENTLY REQUIRED<\/strong><strong>!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>General Manager PEAK DMC Myanmar (based in Yangon)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION PURPOSE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To manage the DMC company including the long term development and the management of the day to day business of the Company. The General Manager will provide leadership to enable the company to achieve its goals, by promoting business profitability, monitoring performance, developing new business and effectively utilising resources.\u00a0 The GM reports to the Regional General Manager South East Asia in Bangkok and shall submit strategy and implement the approved business plans for the Company.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree qualification; Tertiary management qualifications preferred<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of middle level management experience; Company management experience preferred;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and spoken English; local language skills advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Considerable travel experience in the destination (ideally to have lived or worked there)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Adventure Travel Industry advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>OTHER SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work strategically on the business and also operationally in the business<\/li>\n<li>Significant people management and change management experience<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge\/experience in financial and commercial management<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and commitment to international standards of compliance<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of adventure travel industry &amp; fit to values &amp; culture<\/li>\n<li>Understand the country and have a genuine love for its people, culture and environment<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across a variety of cultures<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate leadership and ability to foster teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Ability to deal with uncertainties and a fast changing business environment<\/li>\n<li>Experience in a multi-national business group advantageous<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please require the Application Questions Form and send your CV to<strong> Carl Needham, General Manager PEAK DMC South East Asia at <a href=\"mailto:carl.needham@peakdmc.com\">carl.needham@peakdmc.com<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PEAK DMC Myanmar is a global, independently-managed business of adventure travel company.\u00a0PEAK DMC consists of 20 businesses around the world, take 340,000 passengers to all seven continents.\u00a0It\u00a0is the global leader in adventure travel, offering an unrivalled range of adventure products, experiences and destinations.
