Marriott sells work and play passes

-

HONG KONG, 2 November 2020: Marriott International is promoting its branded ‘Bonvoy’ flexible packages that offer guests the option of a day stay from early morning into the evening, extended overnight stay and leisure destination getaway for those who want to work and play.

“Working remotely doesn’t necessarily have to mean working from home, where blurred lines between personal and professional lives can create distractions and stress,” the group says in its marketing blurb for three pass options.

Marriott Bonvoy members and non-members in the company’s research community indicated they would consider working from a hotel room if it addressed specific realities such as the desire to break up the day-to-day routine and have a dedicated workspace environment that avoids the claustrophobic in small apartments.

The group’s Day Pass turns a hotel room into your office for the day from 0600 to 1800. It provides access to Wi-Fi, food and drinks and additional spaces in the hotel. Guests are free to access the on-property business facilities such as printing, fax and scanning equipment, wherever available and depending on the brand.

In Asia, the package is currently at select hotels in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong.

Stay Pass combines all the benefits of the Day Pass for work with an overnight stay.  In addition to all the amenities included in Day Pass, guests may take advantage of hotel amenities, whether a quick swim or a workout, in markets where regulations allow. The Stay Pass is currently available at nearly 2,000 hotels worldwide. Play Pass is for those seeking to work while also getting away – even with family. Available in participating luxury and resort locations worldwide, Play Pass offers a business concierge, supervised kids’ activities and preferred office/study spaces. In Asia, the Play Pass is on offer at the branded Marriott resort on Samui island, Thailand.
