Pandaw Cruises anchored until 2021

-

PHNOM PENH, 17 September 2020: Pandaw Cruises that operates a fleet of luxury boats on rivers in Southeast Asia and India has postponed all sailings through to May 2021.

In a message to members, the luxury river cruise operator said: “It is becoming clearer that the likelihood of our operations resuming in the near future is now very slim.”

Noting there have been second and third Covid-19 waves raging across the world and even reappearing in Vietnam where there were no reported cases for three months, the consensus is that borders will now remain closed well into 2021.

“Given this, we felt it only right to proactively postpone all sailings for the 2020/21 season through to May 2021, the cruise founder and CEO Paul Strachan stated in his message to members. “We hope that by making the decision now we can provide some certainty and remove any concern about upcoming travel or payments.”

The company is now making preparations for a return from summer 2021 with sailings in India, Myanmar and on the Mekong River exploring Vietnam and Cambodia.

Given the continued uncertainty, the company’s USD100 deposit offer that secures berths on sailings starting summer 2021 has been extended to a 31 December cut-off date. Members can make a new booking with just USD100 per person deposit until 31 December, ensuring that your preferred cabin is secured without the need for a full 20% deposit.

When river cruise return summer 2021  short cruise on the Mekong River, and Tonle Sap that feature Phnom Penh and Siem Reap are likely to be the most popular.
