Vietjet starts flights to India

SINGAPORE, 11 December 2019: Vietjet has started two new direct flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to New Delhi (India).

With the two new routes, Vietjet becomes the first airline connecting Vietnam’s biggest economic, cultural and tourist destinations with the capital of India, New Delhi.

Launched on 6 December, the Ho Chi Minh City – New Delhi route operates four lights per week every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday departing Ho Chi Minh City at 1900 and arriving in New Delhi at 1250.

Meanwhile, the Hanoi – New Delhi route launched 7 December offers three flights per week every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flight departs from Hanoi at 1910 and arrives in New Delhi at 2250.  

To celebrate the new routes, Vietjet is pushing its zero cost fare offer plus fees and tax that are off-loaded for a couple of hours at lunchtime Singapore time.  Tickets for this promotion are valid for travel from 3 January 2020 to 24 October 2020 (**).

As a destination, India is well-known for its diverse cultures with a myriad of religions, incredible cuisine and iconic tourist attractions. In addition to leisure trips, there is a growing interest in Buddhist tourism promoting pilgrimages to holy sites such as Bodh Gaya, where the Lord Buddha achieved enlightenment.
