BANGKOK, 13 December 2019: Dusit International has officially rebranded the Beach Club at Lubi Plantation Island the ‘Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort’.
It signed a management contract on the resort earlier this year and kept the original name with the addition “managed by Dusit” until improvements were completed.
The property also introduced new beachfront villas, dining and recreational facilities to coincide with the rebranding. Villas increase from nine to 18 with half featuring plunge pools facing a private beach.
Located on a private island off the coast of the Philippines’ Davao Gulf, Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort is one of the three properties Dusit manages in partnership with Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation headquartered in Davao earlier this year. The other properties are dusitD2 Davao and Dusit Thani Residence Davao.
To reach the island, guests can take a 30-minute catamaran transfer from the Port Jetty at dusitD2 Davao and Dusit Thani Residence Davao, passing Samal Island. Or they can travel overland for 90 minutes, before taking a short boat transfer from Pindasan Port to the resort.
