HANOI, 6 November 2019: The Vietnam Travel and Tourism Summit 2019 will be held for the second time in Hanoi, 9 December, under the theme “For Vietnamese Tourism to Really Take Off”.

The event will be co-organised by the Government’s Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board (TAB), the Vietnam Tourism Association and online newspaper VnExpress.

The summit will offer an opportunity for enterprises and investors in Vietnam and abroad to look at strategies and potential, as well as challenges, for tourism development.

The first Vietnam Travel and Tourism Summit was held in Hanoi last year with 1,500 delegates participating. This year, the hosts claim attendance could reach 2,000 mainly executives from travel and aviation.

Summit to tackle major issues:
Managing destinations and improving the quality of tourism services;
Strengthening tourism promotion and advertising;
Facilitating immigration procedures for international tourists;
Expanding aviation connectivity and accelerating infrastructure development;
Raising awareness and improving the quality of human resources in tourism.

The summit will also mark the opening of two offices to promote Vietnamese tourism in the United Kingdom and Australia.
