Top-up option on carry-on bags

-

SINGAPORE, 29 November 2019: Jetstar customers can now increase their carry-on allowance to 14kg with the launch of a new top-up option.

Passengers flying Jetstar already receive 7kg of carry-on baggage included in their ‘starter fare’, and the new paid option lets customers double this allowance.

The launch will help more customers speed up their travel by skipping baggage check-in and then having them collect it at the arrival carousel.

Passengers can purchase an additional 7kg of carry-on baggage on all Jetstar Asia flights to and from Singapore except to and from Vietnam.

The 7kg top-up starts from SGD19 on the lowest fare and is available for purchase on Jetstar.com effective 28 November.

Club Jetstar members will also receive a 20% discount when they purchase the top-up as part of their flight booking.

This increased weight allowance needs to be spread over two bags – with no single bag exceeding 10kg.

The carry-on bag dimensions remain the same. The main carry-on bag must fit in the overhead lockers and be no bigger than 56cm (height) x 36cm (width) x 23cm (depth). Smaller items should be placed under the seat in front.

Jetstar introduced its first paid carry-on option in 2018, allowing travellers to boost their carry-on by 3kgs. The new 7kg top-up replaces that option.
