IHG to manage Ho Tram resort

HO CHI MINH CITY, 13 November 2019: InterContinental Hotels Group signed agreements with Ho Tram Project Company Limited to rebrand The Grand Ho Tram at the Ho Tram Strip integrated resort.

 It will be branded  InterContinental Grand Ho Tram following a year of renovations carried out by the owning company.

A new-build Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach will also open in 2020.

IHG Southeast Asia and Korea, vice president development, Serena Lim commented: “This signing marks a new milestone in our growth in Vietnam, as we welcome our first Holiday Inn Resort in the country and continue to expand our InterContinental brand.”

The management deal includes management of the first integrated resort in Vietnam that will undergo renovations.

The Ho Tram tourist strip already has a reputation for entertainment and nightlife in addition to its beach attractions. Most of the resort’s business comes from Ho Chi Minh City, the closest gateway for international visitors.

Grand Ho Tram to be rebranded InterContinental Grand Ho Tram has 533 rooms. The property’s signature features are a casino and a convention centre that can accommodate up to 1,300 people inclusive of a large ballroom and five meeting rooms.

Holiday Inn Resort Ho Tram Beach will have 502 rooms. Together the two properties will provide a variety of venues including a convention centre that can accommodate up to 1,300 people, a casino, F&B options as well as entertainment activities.

Plans are underway to increase capacity to cater for larger events for up to 3,000 people.

IHG currently has 13 hotels in Vietnam, with more than half under the InterContinental brand including properties such as the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort and InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort.
